This Privacy Policy describes how ActDaily, Inc. d/b/a BorrowHive ("BorrowHive," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our websites, applications, and marketplace services.

1. Scope and Platform Role

BorrowHive operates a marketplace that connects users for local tool and equipment rentals. We do not own listed items and we are not the merchant of record for every off-platform arrangement.

This policy applies to information we control as a service provider/operator. Third-party providers that process information on our behalf or as independent controllers/processors have their own policies.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account and profile data (name, email, phone, account credentials, profile metadata).
  • Identity, payout, and payment-related details required for Stripe Connect onboarding and compliance.
  • Marketplace activity data (listings, rentals, disputes, support interactions, and message metadata).
  • Technical and security logs (IP, device/browser metadata, access and audit events, fraud indicators).
  • Marketing attribution data (UTM parameters and campaign/source metadata).

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide and improve marketplace functionality, account access, and customer support.
  • Process transactions, payouts, refunds, fraud screening, and trust/safety workflows.
  • Send transactional notices, policy updates, and service communications.
  • Send marketing communications where permitted and where consent/opt-in requirements are met.
  • Comply with legal, tax, insurance, risk, and regulatory obligations.

4. How We Share Information

  • With other marketplace users as needed to complete rentals and coordinate pickup/return logistics.
  • With vendors and subprocessors that deliver core platform capabilities under contractual controls.
  • With legal, regulatory, law-enforcement, or insurance stakeholders when required or permitted by law.
  • In corporate transactions (merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer) subject to applicable law.

BorrowHive does not sell personal information for cash consideration.

5. Vendor and Subprocessor Disclosures

BorrowHive uses third-party services including payments, communications, hosting, and security providers. Examples include Stripe, Twilio, Mailgun, Cloudflare, and Akamai, among others that may change over time.

6. Email and SMS Communications

  • Transactional/service messages may be sent regardless of marketing preferences.
  • Marketing emails include unsubscribe controls and suppression handling.
  • SMS consent is managed per campaign rules. Message frequency varies and rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out of eligible SMS campaigns and HELP for assistance where available.

7. Retention, Security, and Incident Response

We retain data for business, legal, and risk-management purposes, including fraud prevention, accounting, tax, and dispute resolution. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement.

We apply technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. No environment is perfectly secure, and residual risk remains in any internet service.

8. Privacy Rights and Requests

  • Request access, correction, deletion, or export of your information (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links and supported preference controls.
  • Request account closure from within the app (when available) or via support.
  • California residents may exercise applicable state rights under California privacy law. Learn more.

9. Children, International Access, and Policy Updates

  • BorrowHive is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect such data.
  • BorrowHive is U.S.-operated; cross-border transfers may occur where lawful and operationally required.
  • We may update this policy; material updates are posted with a revised effective date.
